A good download speed for watching Instagram Live depends on the quality of the video you want to watch:

Standard definition (SD): A download speed of around 3 Mbps is usually enough

HD: A download speed of 5-8 Mbps is recommended

Ultra-HD or 4K: A download speed of at least 25 Mbps is recommended

Close all other apps running in the background, they could be consuming bandwidth. This will free up more bandwidth for Instagram.

Consider using 5G or high-speed Wi-Fi connections if available for a smoother experience.

To clear the Instagram cache on both iPhone and Android, go to your device settings, then find the "Apps" or "Applications" section, select Instagram, and then choose "Storage" where you will find the option to "Clear Cache" which you can tap to delete the temporary data stored by the app.
