Naad Headscarf

Named after the primordial sound that echoes through the universe.

This piece will elevate any outfit, become a quick favorite for your morning sadhana or group class, and hopefully become a clothing heirloom. This is the most involved piece and offers the deepest blue of indigo of The Sangat headscarves.

Each scarf is 2.5 yards long X 22” wide from upcycled cotton voile. Finished with a golden thread hem. Pre washed and ironed. Each piece is unique to itself even though they are tied and dyed using the same techniques variation will occur slightly. Made from upcycled materials and hand sewn by Holly from The Sangat. Great care and artistry goes into each piece.

Wash cold and hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Dyed using organic indigo. As early as more than 5,000 years ago, our ancestors in India, East Asia and Egypt, as well as probably the Maya, used the blue dye derived from the Indigofera Tinctoria plant to dye their clothes. This is an iconic dye technique that produces a variety of shades of blue. It is a beautiful process that takes time, care, science and a good amount of water.
